Description:
Special Education Paraprofessional, 7 hours a day for 183 Contract Days.
Efficiently and effectively assist in providing a well-organized, smoothly functioning program in a special education setting while working under the supervision of a supervising teacher.
Performs support work assisting students in meeting educational, communication, emotional, physical and behavioral goals of special needs students.
Works Individually or in small groups.
Pay &
Benefits:
The starting pay is $18.
85 per hour with the opportunity to earn an additional $4.
80 more per hour when completing continuing education.

Summary:
Provide support by working directly with students to increase their academic, social/behavioral, communication, and study skills under the direction of the teacher(s).
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED equivalent, prefer 2 years of post-secondary training or AA degree in child development.
Experience working with students with significant disabilities is preferred, but not required.
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) required.
Training is offered by the school district.
Must pass a background check.
Capable of discretion/confidentiality.
